Training
This is a traditional Thai training gym with many of the fighters living and training at the gym.
Training happens 7 days a week, some fighters will train 6 days and have 1 day off - however on this “off” day they may still do the short and/or long runs with the other fighters and maybe some shadow.
There is the morning run (a long run around 10km) at a manageable pace. Upon return fighters will get ready with their wraps and gear and shadow or do bag work while they wait for their turn with the trainers for pad rounds. It usually finishes with some clinch and conditioning exercises.
The morning sessions usually go for about 3 hours (including the run).
In the afternoon the fighters do the shorter run which consists of laps up and down the road (approximately 3-5km run) - then get ready for afternoon training. Fighters will normally do shadow, bag work, pad rounds with trainers, clinch work, conditioning and sometimes sparring. The length and intensity depends on many things - like the fighters fitness and abilities and whether or not they have a fight coming up for example.
The evening sessions usually go for about 3-4 hours (including the run) but the fighters can go longer.
